e-Portfolios
For this project, you are going to create an online portfolio (a website) that features your creations and some of your interests. There are many ways to create a website, but we will be using Google Sites, Weebly, Wordpress, Wix, or Dreamweaver to create a professional looking site. There are other possibilities, but please check with me before you begin.
Your website will show off the digital projects that you have created as well as your sense of design and layout.
You may need to have a special user account with your hosting site, so please consider the privacy of your personal information as you spend time online.
If you are using Dreamweaver, there is an added element of difficulty, but you will be learning more about coding in html so this will be taken into consideration for your grade.
You will also need to develop a way to organize the information that you will be presenting into pages and sub-pages so start to think of ways to organize your images and your information. You will use menus and sub-pages to present your information in an organized way.
To begin, read this tutorial to get your website up and running.
Some of the things you can include in your website include the following:
This list is not exhaustive so so get creative and make a great looking, well-organized site!
If you are using Google Sites, you can read this document before you begin:
